My Big Day Downtown
There were free drinks, cake and then I was given $100. No, it wasn’t a low-rent party for past-it call girls hosted by Flava Flav, but rather Down Town Halifax’s launch for the Big Day Downtown promotion for 2011.
Myself and a few dozen other lucky bloggers have been asked to take our $100 and get down town! We will then document what we did with our $ for your amusement.
This is my first time doing the Big Day Downtown, so I’m looking to keep it classy. I’m envisioning myself as Petula Clark, breathless on the sidewalk, taking in the neon and big city excitement!

So if you’re downtown and you see some nutjob with a plastic poncho and one giant glove, honk and wave before you slam on the brakes and turn the car around.
