There are a lot of reasons to love Italy. Wine, pasta, mountains, beaches, pastoral countryside, monuments, churches, and the list goes on. So much to see, eat, smell, feel, do and love. Or so their tourism board would have you believe.
I can tell you the truth. The real reason those who have been to Italy love it so much and keep coming back?
Breakfast.
Oh, I’m sorry – I forgot the picture of a typical Italian breakfast:
They are called cornetti, and they are filled with wonder. Some, like above, have nutella. Some have a sweet ricotta mix, some have pistachio paste.
This, plus an espresso constitutes a reasonable breakfast in Italy. In some places, they’ll even serve you a Bomba. What’s that? Oh nothing. Just the most delicious, cream or nutella-filled doughnut you will ever taste. Behold:
And it’s all legit, folks. Italy is a wonderful, accepting place where should you eat one of these for breakfast no one will give you so much as a sideways glance, unless it is to admire your Bomba.

I concur,
These little devils are fresh made every morning, from scratch. And before you try to compare them to anything served up by Timmies, Stop right now. These only share a passing resemblance of those balls of fat soaked dough peddled by our national chain of “poor excuse for coffee” Swill. They are lovely balls of heaven and when combined with real coffee, caffe or espresso to Italians, it makes for the best way to start your day ever.
cheers
